I went home sick today- thinking that I had Strep. I don't, says the Minute Clinic. Then I went to pick up the boys from the airport and my little guy was in tears, coughing, temperature and with a sore throat. I swear, men just don't see that as a sign of anything that matters (but that rant is for another day). So, I took my little man to the Minute Clinic and he had a temp of 102 and Strep. Poor little guy!
I gave him a bath, some Ibuprofen, some Throat Coat tea (yum!) and put him to bed. Now I am gonna go conk out as well. But not without saying a few positive things.
1. When I wrote to my principal tonight to ask for the morning off (Dad is in meetings), I felt so guilty. There are other staff members who are sick and we have a big in-house field trip thingy coming. He simply replied, "You take care of your family and I'll take care of your students."
Aw!! He is the best! We had a PSYCHO principal last year, so this man is such a positive change and rock of support- it feels great! Yay!
2. Every single person that commented on my Facebook post yesterday won my brand new, common core aligned, spring pack- 29 people! What? You don't stalk me on Facebook? Skip over there now.
It's on sale through tonight, so check out the preview below and then go grab it for cheap!
3. My friend, Becky @ The Compassionate Teacher has put together some great bloggers (eh hem) to donate items when you contribute $10 to One Meal, One Day through her blog. This is 100% non-profit for us. We just care a ton and I learned from my sweet Facebook peeps that won my pack, how much they care, too!
Click the button below to take you there and let Becky know who sent you!
4. Last, have you entered this fantastic giveaway yet that I am so proud to be a part of?
I'm off to snooze. . .
