OUR V-DAY (with a mini-rant) AND A SPRING FREEBIE

We had so much fun yesterday and I the kids ate more candy than I knew was humanly possible. I just love Valentine's Day- everyone seems happy and the kids always bring me cool coffee mugs and gifts- I swear, it's better than Christmas! Yes!

Some of the highlights were, of course, Candy Heart Graphing and centers! Check it, yo!

Now, for my daily little rant!
I bought two bags of these alpha beads and was going to let the kids make bracelets with their names, using pipe cleaners. However, upon sorting, I discovered that there were only 7 As, in the two packages combined. I think every kid in my class has at least an A or two in their name, so that wasn't going to work. Okay, I wouldn't be so mad if there wasn't an over-abundance of letters that we just don't need that many of. Are you able to see all of those Zs and Qs??

25 Zs!
24 Cs
16 Qs
I think there are a million Bs.

I was so upset yesterday that I started writing a letter to the company, but I think that I was being irrational and just crashing from my sugar high. Do I send it? :)

Okay, back to reality- how adorbs are these Valentine boxes?  My kiddos are so darn creative!

Now, for your freebie! I'm releasing a HUGE spring pack this weekend and thought I'd make a freebie with some of the clip art that I'm using.  Enjoy!

  1. Thanks for the freebie!! I would totally send a letter to the company. I mean 7 A's! Are they tricking us into buying more packs to get all the letters we need!? Maybe they will send you a pack of A's for free?;)

  3. Uber cute boxes! Concerning the ABC beads--sounds like they wanted you to buy LOTS of bags for the activity. Who in China are you sending the letter to anyway? LOL!!!! Have a fabulous Friday and great weekend!

  6. I wouldn't write the letter while upset, but I would definitely write it and send it to the company. We all know there are not many names with q's and z's.

  7. I can't believe that's the only amount of A's in the pack! I would definitely let them know. Thanks for the great freebie Irene! :) We made bracelets too but with pony beads to fit into our patterns unit. Have a good weekend!

  9. You should send them a letter. That's just nuts. They can't fix it if they don't know how inconvient it is. Plus who knows, maybe they'll send you a free bag. Those Valentine boxes are cute.
